Michelle Cheang

Michelle Cheang is the Chief Advancement Officer at LA Promise Fund. Prior to their current position, they served as the Dean of Career Education & Workforce Development at East Los Angeles College from January 2019 to February 2020. Michelle has also worked as the Dean of Academic Affairs & Workforce Development at Los Angeles Trade Technical College from November 2014 to January 2019, where they were responsible for the Health Science Pathway, Health & Exercise Sciences Department, Academic Connections, Specially-Funded Programs, Partnerships, & Dual Enrollment. Before working at Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Michelle was the Department Director at Youth Policy Institute from June 2008 to November 2014, where they established the YouthSource and Education Department and youth centers in Pacoima/San Fernando, East Hollywood, and Pico-Union.

Michelle Cheang received their Doctor of Education from California State University, Northridge. Michelle also holds a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Northridge and a Bachelor of Arts from UC San Diego.
