John Mapel

John Mapel has a diverse work experience in the field of project management and clinical research. John started their career as a Clinical Study Coordinator at R/D Clinical Research in 2003. John then worked at Quintiles as a Clinical Research Associate and later as a Senior Clinical Project Manager from 2005 to 2011. John joined ICON plc in 2012, where they held various positions including Associate Director, Director, and Senior Director of Project Management. John also served as a Senior Director of Project Management at DOCS in 2017. In 2018, they joined ICON plc again and worked as the Vice President of Program Management until 2022. From 2022 to 2023, they worked as an Attorney At Law at Timpa Law Office, P.C. Currently, they are the Senior Vice President of Client Services at LabConnect, starting from 2023.

John Mapel obtained a Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law Houston from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a BBA in International Business and Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University, specifically from 1996 to 2001. In 1997, they briefly studied at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla. Additionally, John has certifications as a PMP from the Project Management Institute in 2008 and as an Attorney from the State Bar of Texas.
