Guilherme Soares is a dedicated physicist currently pursuing a PhD at the Laboratório de Instrumentação e Física Experimental de Partículas, a position held since February 2022. Previously, Guilherme contributed as a Master Thesis Student at the same laboratory from March 2019 to January 2021, focusing on background veto studies for the Search for Hidden Particles experiment at CERN, with an emphasis on optimizing the selection of Heavy Neutral Leptons and Dark Photons. Guilherme holds a Master's degree in Engineering Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico, and also studied at the University of Twente from September 2017 to February 2018.
