Alex Barros-Curtis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in legal and finance. Alex has served as the Executive Director of Legal Affairs (General Counsel) for the Labour Party, providing legal advice and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Alex was also the Head of Legal, Finance, and Compliance for Keir Starmer's Labour Leader campaign.

In addition, Alex has worked as a Consultant Solicitor at Myriad Consultants Limited, where they specialized in derivatives and structured finance, advising Barclays Bank PLC on legal risk and regulatory developments. Alex was also the Head of Compliance and Finance for Owen Smith's Labour Leader campaign, leading on legal matters in a high-pressure environment.

Before their legal career, Alex worked as a Foreign Policy Intern at the Clinton Foundation and as a Research Assistant in the House of Commons.

Alex Barros-Curtis attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law. Following this, from 2007 to 2008, they attended The College of Law, London, where they attained a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
