Investment Associate
Lafayette Square Holding Company, LLC New York City Metropolitan Area Remote Reports to: Senior Underwriter **Job Summary **
- Conduct extensive due diligence on new investment opportunities as the junior member of lean deal teams, including financial modeling, primary and secondary research, and other company-specific investment analysis.
- Produce detailed investment committee memoranda on investment opportunities synthesizing a proposed investment thesis, risks, and mitigants with accompanying analysis.
- Provide ongoing monitoring of assets within the firm’s portfolios, including review of monthly and quarterly results and attendance of calls and meetings.
- Assist with strategic initiatives of the Lafayette Square platform, including general firm strategy, technology adoption and implementation, and fundraising. Requirements
- Experience: 2 to 5 years. Ideally, with 2+ years in Investment Banking, Private Credit, Private Equity, Mezzanine, or Consulting
- Strong academic credentials – Bachelor’s Degree is required
- Mature, responsible, and entrepreneurial qualities to complement the existing team.
- Highly analytical mindset with the ability to analyze businesses, growth strategies, and the risk/return characteristics of investment opportunities
- Extensive financial modeling skills and experience in Excel
- Previous transaction experience on the buy or sell-side
- Clear, concise business writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compensation
