Product Specialist, Credit - Investor Relations

Reports to: Head of Investor Relations   Job Summary

The team is seeking a Product Specialist for Lafayette’s credit division, LS Credit, to play a key role in ongoing product development, marketing and investor communications related to credit strategies. This is an opportunity to join on the ground floor of a well-capitalized asset management company with ample deployable capital.   Responsibilities

  • Responsible for authoring, updating and disseminating all information, messaging and materials for investor communications related to LS Credit strategies and products, in collaboration with the Head of Investor Relations and the Director of Brand & Design
  • Collaborate on the development of new products and initiatives focused within LS Credit
  • Support the Distribution Team during the distribution of all products within LS Credit
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Investor Relations - authoring white papers, attending conferences and promoting Lafayette's credit strategies
  • Collaborate on the drafting of documentation related to new products (PPM, LPA, etc)
  • Play a key role in the planning and execution of Lafayette Square's Annual Meetings
  • Receive, track and respond to information requests and complete them quickly and accurately; work cross functionally with other team(s) to clarify requests and manage client expectations when necessary
  • Optimize existing processes for completing requests and gathering data. Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures ensuring the use of technology to the fullest extent
  • Utilize and contribute to the maintenance of the team's RFP/DDQ content management system and liaise with other subject matter experts to ensure content is reviewed and updated (or retired) on a regular basis; intelligently match approved content and data to specific questions
  • Build relationships with subject matter experts internally and externally
  • Contribute to the training and development of junior team members
  • Assist with strategic initiatives of the Lafayette Square platform, including general firm strategy, technology adoption and implementation, and fundraising.   Requirements
  • Experience: 6 – 8 years’ experience in progressively more responsible roles in Investor Relations, Finance, Investment Banking, and/or Asset Management. Expertise and prior experience in credit is a requirement.
  • Strong academic credentials – Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Strong financial modelling skills are preferred, including the ability to model various fund and waterfall structures.
  • Mature, responsible, and entrepreneurial qualities to complement the existing team.
  • Must have demonstrated excellent oral, written, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Experience with and commitment to utilizing technology for streamlining processes, workflows and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally to translate ideas into conception and ultimately execution.
  • Must possess understanding of the job at the strategic as well as tactical levels. Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization.   Compensation
