Sherifah Balogun is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy funding, stakeholder management, and financial services. Currently serving as the Director of Strategy Funding and Stakeholders Management and Head of Fundraising and Partnerships at the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund since August 2022, Sherifah focuses on enhancing partnerships for effective program implementation. Previously, Sherifah held various roles at Sterling Bank Plc from August 2013 to May 2021, including Business Manager for Financial Inclusion and Retail Financial Services, and Business Strategy Specialist at Strategic Impact Advisors in 2020. Sherifah also worked as a Legal Associate at Oluwakemi Balogun & Co. An accomplished academic, Sherifah holds an MBA in Global Banking and Finance from Exeed College, a degree in International Business from Nexford University, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ilorin, complemented by the Bar qualification from the Nigerian Law School.

The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (“LSETF” or “the Fund”), was established by The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law 2016 to provide financial support to residents of Lagos State, for job, wealth creation and to tackle unemployment. LSETF serves as an instrument to inspire the creative and innovative energies of all Lagos residents and reduce unemployment across the State. The Fund has the mandate to directly invest ₦25Billion in helping Lagos residents grow and scale their Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (“MSMEs”) or acquire skills to get better jobs.
