David Horsley

David Horsley is an experienced FX Lead at LAIKA, LLC since March 2014, specializing in ocean water simulations, smoke and fire simulation, destruction, and magic effects. Prior to this role, Horsley worked as a Senior FX Artist at Sony Pictures Imageworks and Digital Domain, contributing to projects such as "Ender's Game." At Rhythm and Hues Studios, a tenure from July 2005 to May 2013 included roles as FX Supervisor and FX R&D TD, overseeing effects on notable films like "Life of Pi." Earlier experience includes positions at Ring of Fire Studios and Industrial Light and Magic, where significant work involved visual effects, particle and fluid simulations, and lighting.
