Doug Nichols

Doug Nichols is an experienced professional in the animation and filmmaking industry, currently serving as the Puppet Fabrication Production Manager and Puppet Wrangler at LAIKA Studios since November 2021. Nichols has held various leadership roles, including Executive Director of the West Coast Fencing Archive, which has been a leader in preserving the sport's cultural history since 2013. Previous positions include Associate Production Manager at Lucasfilm Animation, Department Executive at DreamWorks Animation, and Production Management at Pixar Animation Studios, contributing to acclaimed films such as *Finding Nemo* and *The Incredibles*. Additional experience includes management roles at Walt Disney Feature Animation, Pacific Data Images, and Rhythm & Hues, showcasing a wide range of expertise in animation techniques and production management. Nichols holds a BA in Radio/TV/Film & Performing Arts from San Jose State University and an Associate of Arts degree in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from Cabrillo College.
