James Edward Kennedy Jr

James Edward Kennedy Jr. is an accomplished professional in animation and film studies, currently serving as a Rapid Prototype Facial Librarian and Animation Tester at LAIKA, LLC since August 2019. In this role, James specializes in animation and film, oversees quality control of 3D printed facial assets for animators, and coordinates asset scheduling to meet production targets. Additionally, James volunteers as a Cinema Studies Lecturer, founded the LAIKA Black Employee Resource Group to foster community among Black employees, and has experience as a story artist and writer, with a strong educational background in animation and visual storytelling from the California College of the Arts. James is also engaged in playwriting and screenwriting studies at the Sundance Institute.
