Samantha Highsmith is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in content creation and production across various organizations. Currently serving as Media Services Lead at LAIKA Studios since May 2023, Samantha previously held the role of Producer at Nexstar Media Group, Inc., where responsibilities included content development and strategic communication. Prior experience includes Associate Producer at WETA, where Samantha field-produced programs and managed social media marketing, and as Statewide Arts Mentor at Spy Hop Productions, focusing on digital arts education. Samantha's career also includes roles at Nexstar Media Group, KUED 7, Seattle University, and KCTS 9, showcasing a strong foundation in video production, storytelling, and audience engagement. With a Bachelor's Degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies and Journalism from Seattle University, alongside studies at the Film and TV Academy of the Performing Arts, Samantha possesses a robust skill set in creative project management and multimedia storytelling.
