Charlotte Burt has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Charlotte began their career in 1996 as a Credit Controller at NatWest, before transitioning to the role of Office Manager at Priory Products in 1998. In 2000, they worked as a Customer Service Specialist at Dams Furniture for two years.

Charlotte then joined the Avon and Somerset Police in 2002, where they held various positions including Learning and Development Specialist and Police Officer. Charlotte contributed to the organization for 16 years, until their departure in 2018.

In 2018, Charlotte joined EDF as the Lead Training Specialist for Emergency Preparedness. The following year, they transitioned to Balfour Beatty plc as a Training Manager, a role they held until 2020.

Charlotte's most recent role was as the Security Manager for the BYLOR Joint Venture, a position they held for over two years from 2020 to 2023.

Currently, Charlotte Burt is the Europe Hub Head of Security at Laing O'Rourke, a role they assumed in 2023.

Charlotte Burt's education history begins in 1991 when they attended Wellsway secondary school, where they completed their secondary education. From 2007 to 2008, Charlotte pursued an NVQ in Direct Training and Support at City and Guilds. In 2008, they also obtained the NVQ A1 Assessors Award from City and Guilds, specializing in Educational Assessment, Testing, and Measurement. Charlotte furthered their educational qualifications in 2009-2010 at Bath Spa University, where they earned a Certificate in Education with a focus on Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching. Most recently, in 2017-2018, Charlotte attended Pearson College London to pursue a degree in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice in the field of Education.
