John X. Zhang

John X. Zhang is the current CEO of Laird Performance Materials. Prior to this, they served as President and Managing Director of Asia and Greater China for Ammeraal Beltech from August 2016 to September 2018. From October 2014 to July 2016, they were Chief Operating Officer for FCI. Their career also includes roles as Vice President of Operations & ISC, Industrial Technologies AP and Vice President, HVAC/Transport SBU Pro for Ingersoll Rand from February 2012 to October 2014, Director of Global Manufacturing Operations for 3M from February 2011 to February 2012, and Tenure-Track Assistant Professor at Penn State Univ. B-School Faculty from January 2001 to December 2004. Additionally, they have held various positions at Tyco Electronics from August 2004 to February 2011, including Director of Global Program Management, Operations Director, and APAC Procurement (IPO) & General Manager. Prior to that, they worked as a Regional Manager / Sr Manager / Manager / Sr Analyst / Engineer for Tyco Electronics (AMP) and General Motors from January 1990 to December 2001.

John X. Zhang has a Ph.D. in Strategy & Operations Control from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business. John also has an MBA in Fin & Marketing from the same school.
