Debbie Maurer

Debbie Maurer is the Assistant Manager of Natural Resources & Ecologist at Lake County Forest Preserve District since January 2002. Prior to this, Debbie worked as an Environmental Specialist at Wisconsin Department of Transportation from June 1999 - December 2001. Debbie holds a Master's degree in Botany/ Plant Community Ecology/ Restoration Ecology from University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Debbie is responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring success of ecological restoration projects, collaborating with partner organizations, supervising staff, overseeing natural resource programs, developing grants and budgets, and presenting research findings at public meetings and conferences.
