Leslie Porter

Leslie Porter is an experienced educator currently serving as the English Department Chair at Lake Norman Charter School since August 2008, where responsibility includes providing instructional leadership and curriculum support for fellow English teachers. Additionally, Leslie has excelled as a High School English Teacher, developing culturally relevant curriculums that promote student achievement, and has contributed as an International Travel Coordinator, planning educational trips for students. With a background in advising the Senior Class Council and Prom Committee, Leslie efficiently managed events and budgets to enhance student experiences. Leslie also underwent a Higher Education internship at Queens University of Charlotte, gaining expertise in international education. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership from Columbus State University and a Bachelor’s degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Elon University.
