Manager - Business Intelligence And Analytics at Lake Trust

Douglas Hawes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Douglas began their career in 1990 as the President and Senior Project Manager at WYM Consulting Services, Inc., where they managed over 300 enterprise software applications and served as a system administrator and database administrator. During this time, they also specialized in architecting, selling, installing, and managing Microsoft platforms.

From 2006 to 2009, Hawes worked as a Technical Project Manager and Senior Developer at Park West Gallery, where they managed a company-wide network migration and upgrade, administered SQL Server infrastructure, and upgraded SharePoint Server infrastructure.

Douglas then moved on to ProClaimAMS, Inc. from 2007 to 2009, where they served as a Technical Project Manager, Senior Business Analyst, and DBA. Here, they implemented and integrated SalesForce.com with on-premise systems and converted existing business applications to use a SQL/SSRS Server database backend.

At NuTechs from 2009 to 2011, Hawes worked as a Senior Lead Developer, focusing on the Forms Consolidation project for generating insurance policy documents using C# and .NET 4.

From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Citizens Bank - Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin as a Software Architect and Senior Lead Developer. Here, they were responsible for setting and implementing software architecture, leading a team that developed twelve production web applications and mentoring software developers.

Hawes then moved on to Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy from 2013 to 2015, where they worked as a Software Architect and Senior Lead Developer. Douglas was responsible for setting and implementing software architecture across the company and played a key role in re-architecting a data-feed application, significantly reducing its run-time.

Most recently, Hawes worked at Lake Trust Credit Union from 2016 onwards as the Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics. Here, they created a business intelligence team, designed the team roles and responsibilities, and developed the business intelligence and analytics platform. This included implementing various tools and technologies such as Collibra Data Governance Center, Alteryx, SSIS, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Cortana Analytics and R for advanced analytics and machine learning.

Douglas Hawes has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Communications from Michigan State University. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained several qualifications including Importing Data in R (Part 1), Intermediate R Practice Course, Intermediate R Course, and Introduction to R from DataCamp. Douglas also holds certifications such as Community Manager Certification, Developer Certification, Platform Admin Certification, and Steward Certification from Collibra. Additionally, Douglas has ITIL Foundations certification from ITIL. Douglas has also completed A+ and Network+ certifications from CompTIA, although the date of obtaining these certifications is not specified.
