LAKE is seeking an experienced Print Designer to lead the company’s seasonal print assortment for all categories. The Print Designer is responsible for concepting, developing, and executing all print and packaging needs for LAKE apparel. You have extensive experience in women’s apparel and are confident in your ability to manage and inspire an assortment that drives concept, design development, and execution to brand standards. You have a strong creative point of view and can articulate your vision to all teams. You excel in a fast-paced work environment and are excited by the opportunity to be a part of a team with a growing DTC brand. 

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Partner with Lead Designer to develop and execute seasonal color and pattern that aligns with the brand’s seasonal direction and strategy for Women’s, Men’s, and Kids and Baby.
  • Utilize available resources to ensure understanding of our customer, market opportunities, and competition as it applies to designing LAKE’s seasonal color, print, and pattern.
  • Strong ability in understanding and identifying artwork application to key silhouettes a must.
  • Create and present design boards each season showcasing color and print direction.
  • Actively present color and print story to cross-functional team members and action feedback and next steps.
  • Ability to create patternwork and build and roll out a thoughtful color story in adopted patternwork is a must.
  • Owns and manages development of all artwork tech packs and tracking, as well as artwork comments both internally and externally with vendors.
  • Ensures consistency across product categories that align with the brand aesthetic, key trends, and LAKE customer.
  • Develop all packaging needs for garment labels, gift boxes, and collaborations.

Skills and Experience 

  • 3-5+ years design experience in design/apparel: building and applying color and print direction and development.

  • College degree in fashion, print/textile, or design-related field.

  • Strong knowledge of color and textile techniques as it relates to fabrics and printing applications.

  • Proficient in Centric PLM + Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator and Photoshop a must.

  • Strong communication skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fluid environment.

  • Ability to identify key trends and determine how they appropriately relate to the brand/ consumer.

  • Full-time, on-site position only.
