Regional Director, Learning Environments at Lakeshore Learning

Susan Dykgraaf has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Susan started their career as a Special Education Teacher in Tyler ISD in 1998. Susan then worked as a Special Education Lead Resource Teacher in McKinney ISD from 2004 to 2006. After that, they assumed the role of District Special Education Instructional Specialist in McKinney ISD from 2006 to 2015. Later, they served as a Special Education Resource Teacher in McKinney ISD from 2015 to 2017. Currently, they are working as the Regional Elementary Representative in Lakeshore Learning Materials since 2017 and has recently been promoted to the role of Regional Director, Learning Environments in January 2022.

Susan Dykgraaf completed their education with a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in the years 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Elementary and Special Education, from Stephen F. Austin State University between 1993 and 1998. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications as a district trainer in Nonviolent Crisis Prevention (CPI), The Spalding Method, and Read Naturally.
