Daniel Brown

Daniel Brown is the current Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs at Lamar University. Prior to this, they served as the Dean of University College and Director of PACE Center at Texas State University from August 2011 to October 2020. Brown has also served as the Dean of University College at Texas A&M University-Kingsville from August 2005 to July 2011, and as Associate Professor & Coordinator at Eastern New Mexico University from August 1996 to July 2005.

Daniel Brown received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pittsburg State University. Daniel then went on to receive a Master of Science in Biology from the same school. Finally, they earned their Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Oklahoma State University.

Daniel Brown works with Monica Ryan - Chief of Police, John Bello-Ogunu - VP for Global Diversity, Inclusion & Intercultural Affairs, and Robert Wagner - Executive Director, Campus Operations. Daniel Brown reports to Jaime Taylor, President.
