Sami Ferm

Sami Ferm has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Sami started their career as a Shop Assistant at Stockmann in 2009 and later worked as a Salesman at both Stockmann and Securitas. In 2011, they took on the role of a Guard at Securitas before returning to Stockmann as a Salesman in 2011 and 2012. In 2012, Sami joined G4S as a Guard and also worked as a Web developer trainee at Oy Site Logic Ab, focusing on Joomla frontend development. Sami then worked as a Salesman at HOK-Elanto Liiketoiminta Oy from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, Sami joined Lamia as a Full-stack Lead Developer, specializing in frontend solutions and web development with various technologies. Sami later joined HiQ Finland as a Full-stack Lead Developer and Director of Digital Commerce Development. Overall, Sami has experience in sales, security, and web development, with a focus on frontend development and digital commerce.

Sami Ferm began their education at Alppila Upper Secondary School from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained an Upper Secondary diploma. Sami then attended Herttoniemi High School from 2006 to 2009, completing the Finnish Matriculation Examination in a general education field of study. In 2011, Sami enrolled in Helsinki Business College Oy and earned a Vocational Qualification in Information and Communications Technology with a specialization in software development, completing their studies in 2013. Sami continued their education at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences from 2013 to 2017, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology, with a focus on Computer Software and Media Applications and Economic Science.

In addition to their formal education, Sami has obtained multiple certifications, including the Magento 1 Certified Front End Developer from Adobe Commerce in September 2017, the Adobe Certified Expert-Adobe Commerce Front-End Developer from Adobe in October 2019, and the Adobe Certified Professional—Adobe Commerce Developer from Adobe in October 2021. Most recently, in June 2022, Sami acquired the Contentful Certified Professional Exam certification from Contentful.
