Salek Azim

Salek Azim has extensive work experience in the engineering field, primarily in project management and leadership roles. Salek currently serves as the Engineering Director at Lamprell since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Orion as a Project Engineering Manager from March 2019 to November 2021. At Orion, they were involved in various onshore and offshore oil and gas projects, including contract tendering, project launch, and execution.

Before joining Orion, Salek Azim worked at Samsung Heavy Industries where they held two different positions. From October 2016 to December 2018, they served as the Snr Engineering Manager (Project Management) overseeing the launch and execution of systems and activities for the BP Mad Dog 2 offshore FPU EPC. From June 2015 to October 2016, they worked as the Snr Engineering Manager (Corporate Project Management) and was responsible for developing procedures and systems for the company's design engineering office in Seoul.

Prior to their time at Samsung Heavy Industries, Salek Azim worked at Amec Foster Wheeler for over 15 years. During their tenure, they held multiple roles including Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Deputy Engineering Manager, Lead Mechanical Engineer, and Mechanical Project Engineer. Salek was involved in securing and executing onshore and offshore brownfield studies and FEED projects, as well as new joint venture business unit start-up and client relationship management.

Salek Azim's career began at Taylor Woodrow, where they worked as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer from October 1999 to September 2000.

Salek Azim obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University London from 1995 to 1999.
