Thierry GARRET has a long and varied work experience, starting in 1988. In that year, they undertook a project graduation at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, studying the feasibility of a high-speed and secure atmospheric optical communications system between military vehicles. In 1989, they were a Scientifique du contingent at the Direction générale de l'armement, and also undertook a project graduation at CILAS Lasers & Optronics, studying sampled noises and recursive identification methods for automation. In 1988, they began a project graduation at Safran Electronics & Defense, industrializing the CEA/LETI license-micro-lasers, and modernizing the workshop. In 2000, they were R&D Project & Pilot Line Manager at Teem Photonics, helping to define macro-processes from marketing to production. In 2003, they were Reliability & Qualification Manager and Industrialization and Special-Purpose Machine Manager at ULIS SAS Subsidiary. In 2012, they were Space Project Quality Manager at Teledyne e2v. In 2017, they were MOÏZ Start-up Project Leader and co-founder, focusing on energy harvesting systems to make IOT sensors and Wireless Sensor Nodes autonomous and battery-free. Since 2019, they have been Innovation and Industrialization Director at Lancey Energy Storage, managing multidisciplinary design and project management, NF and CEM approval management, and battery certification.

Thierry GARRET attended Ecole Centrale de Marseille from 1986 to 1989, where they earned a Diplôme d'ingénieur généraliste in the field of Physique et Optique.
