Joy Burgess

Joy Burgess has extensive experience in administrative and legal support roles. Currently serving as a Legal Receptionist/Secretary at the Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation since February 2013, Joy manages office reception duties, appointments, and provides in-house intake for contract cases while also offering administrative support for senior projects. Prior to this, Joy worked as a Deputy Clerk in the Criminal Division at the Sangamon County Circuit Clerk's Office from February 2004 to February 2013. Joy's career began in sales as a Sales Representative at Springfield Shopper from May 1988 to July 1993, and an earlier military service includes training as a Field Radio Operator in the United States Marine Corps from 1979 to 1987. Educational background includes attendance at Proviso East High School and Triton Jr. College from 1974 to 1979.
