W. Rex Linville

W. Rex Linville is currently serving as the Eastern Division Director of Field Programs at the Land Trust Alliance since June 2022, where responsibilities include leading and developing field service strategies across a thirty-two state region. Previously, W. Rex Linville was a board member and Board Treasurer for Virginia United Land Trusts from July 2017 to January 2023, contributing to land conservation efforts in Virginia. W. Rex Linville also held the position of Land Conservation Officer at the Piedmont Environmental Council from March 2004 to June 2022, where engagement with landowners and legislative advocacy were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes serving as a Land Protection Specialist at the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy and as a Program Officer at The Mountain Institute. W. Rex Linville holds a Master of Science in Forestry & Natural Resource Management from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech.
