Alexander Fergus

Alexander Fergus is a skilled researcher in ecology with extensive experience at Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research since October 2017, holding positions from Ecology Technician to Researcher. Prior roles include Expedition Leader at Heritage Expeditions since January 2016 and various positions at the Department of Conservation from November 2011 to October 2017, including Biodiversity Planner and Team Leader/Botanist. Earlier experience encompasses lecturing and operating as a Zodiac Driver at Heritage Expeditions and serving as a Research Assistant at Landcare Research. Alexander Fergus holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Natural Sciences from the University of Zurich and a Bachelor of Science Honours (BSc. Hons.) in Botany from the University of Otago.
