Manpreet Dhami

Manpreet Dhami is a Senior Lecturer at The University of Auckland, starting in February 2024, with extensive research experience as a Senior Researcher and Capability Leader at Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research since September 2017. Previously, Manpreet served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stanford University from May 2014 to June 2017, focusing on nectar microbe community dynamics, and as an Honorary Research Fellow at The University of Auckland. A Scientist at the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries from September 2012 to 2014, Manpreet contributed to a project on rapid diagnostics for High Priority pests. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology. Research interests emphasize inter-species interactions, particularly in tri-trophic relationships involving scale insects, bacteria, and fungal consumers in New Zealand.
