Chief Operating Officer at Landfolk

Asger Køppen has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Starting from 2006, they worked as a Lecturer in Outdoor Adventures, where they gave non-profit lectures and talks about their own active adventures. In 2012, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Topas Explorer Group, overseeing land-based operations and financial development. During their tenure, they successfully turned around the company's performance, resulting in a significant increase in income.

In 2013, Asger founded Vietnam Trail Series, an international Mountain Trail Marathon, and served as the Founder and Race Director. Under their leadership, the portfolio grew to include four trail races with thousands of runners from over 50 nations. Asger also initiated a charitable component, where runners donated to charity.

In 2014, Asger founded Topas Riverside Lodge in Vietnam, a remote lodge powered by sustainable heat pumps from Denmark. Asger successfully developed the lodge, including its modern rooms, kitchen, spa, and riverside terrace.

From 2019 to 2021, Asger served as a Board Member for National Geographic. During this time, they also held a Board Member position at World of Greenland, where they focused on branding and sales planning for the company's lodges.

In 2020, Asger joined World of Greenland as the Chief Executive Officer, where they rebuilt the company and formulated a new growth strategy and investment plan. Asger assembled a skilled team to develop world-class products and ensure customer satisfaction.

In 2021, Asger became a Board Member for Løvtag, a position they currently hold. Additionally, in 2023, they will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer at Landfolk, a startup focused on helping people connect with nature and each other.

Throughout their career, Asger has demonstrated strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a passion for developing innovative and sustainable ventures in the tourism and adventure industry.

Asger Køppen completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Environment and Resource Management from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark. Asger attended this institution from 2006 to 2009. Following this, they pursued their Master of Arts degree in International Business Studies from Aarhus University, attending from 2009 to 2011.
