Joe Herrera has extensive experience in the engineering and facilities management field. Joe started their career in 1983 as an Assistant Director of Engineering at Miami Airport and worked there until 1988. Joe then moved on to Grand Bay Hotel as a Mobile Five, holding the role from 1988 to 1990. From 1990 to 1991, Joe worked as the Director of Engineering at Miami Marriott Dadeland Hotel. Following this, they held the position of Director of Engineering at Sheraton Design Center Hotel from 1991 to 1996. Joe then joined SMG/Miami Beach Convention Center as the Chief Engineer and stayed with the company until 2007. Joe worked as the Facility/Maintenance Manager at Augusta National Golf Club from 2007 to 2010 before taking up the role of Director of Engineering at Royal Palm Hotel in 2010. From 2012 to 2014, Joe served as the Chief Engineer at Capital City Club/Marriott Atlanta. Their latest position was as the Director of Facilities/Engineering at The Landings Club, where they have been since 2014.

Joe Herrera attended the Hotel/Motel Association from 1985 to 1987, where they specialized in Engineering. Joe then pursued a Certificate in Building Maintenance, black seal firemen, and energy management at Bergen County Technical Schools. Finally, they studied Building Maintenance at Hudson County Technical School.
