James Rowbotham has a diverse work experience in the field of development and management. James started their career at DTZ in 2004 as a Surveyor, where they worked on various projects including a mixed-use town center scheme in High Wycombe and the sale of land with residential consent in Ashford. In 2007, they joined Thornfield Properties Plc as a Development Executive, leading key projects such as the redevelopment of Smithfield Market in London and the construction of an office tower in Caxton House. In 2010, James moved to Hammerson as a Development Manager, overseeing the delivery of retail schemes across different locations in the UK. James also played a crucial role in the development of Principal Place, a large mixed-use project designed by Foster + Partners. Most recently, James has been working at Landsec since 2014, holding various positions such as Development Manager and Senior Development Director. James'scurrent role as Head of Workplace Development involves managing ongoing projects such as the construction of One New Street Square and the comprehensive refurbishment of Holborn Gate.

James Rowbotham completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Politics from Newcastle University from 1995 to 1998. James then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Property Valuation & Law from Cass Business School from 2003 to 2004.
