Michael George

Michael George has extensive experience in animal care and research spanning over two decades. Currently serving as an Animal Care Assistant for the night team at Langford Vets since August 2016, Michael also held the role of Animal Technician at the University of Bristol from December 2015 to July 2023, focusing on husbandry and health checks. Previous positions include In Vivo Scientist at KWS BioTest, where work concentrated on bacterial and viral infections in murine models, and In Vivo Technician at Novartis, overseeing the care of in vivo models and supporting transgenic mouse breeding. Michael started the career as a Contract Research Assistant/Animal Technician at B+K Universal, providing technical support across various companies. Michael obtained an IAT Level 3 degree from Venture Forward between 2010 and 2013, and completed education at Stanground College from 1992 to 1996.
