Jinhyun Kim

Principal Cello at Lansing Symphony Orchestra

Jinhyun Kim has extensive experience as a cellist, with roles in various symphony orchestras and educational institutions. They started their career as a Teaching Graduate Assistant at Michigan State University in 2013 and later held positions as a Cello Instructor at Okemos Music Academy and a Section Musician (Cello) at Midland Symphony Orchestra. Jinhyun also worked as a Cello Instructor and Section Cello at Marshall Music Co and Jackson Symphony Orchestra, respectively. They joined Spring Arbor University as an Adjunct Faculty of Cello in 2020. Since then, Jinhyun has been serving as Assistant Principal Cello at Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and Section Cello at Lansing Symphony Orchestra. They have displayed their expertise and passion for playing the cello throughout their career.

Jinhyun Kim is a highly educated individual with a specialization in cello performance. From 2011 to 2016, they pursued their Master of Music and Doctoral of Musical Arts degrees at Michigan State University.
