Louise Mapstone

Louise Mapstone is an experienced ecologist currently serving as the Biodiversity Net Gain Officer at Buckinghamshire Council since February 2022, where responsibilities include implementing Biodiversity Net Gain and developing internal procedures. Prior roles include advising the Governing Board of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) since December 2018 and contributing as a Freelance Ecologist since March 2009, with expertise in protected species surveys and relevant licenses. Previous experience includes positions at Warwickshire County Council and Hertfordshire County Council, as well as training roles with Lantra. Educational qualifications encompass a BSc in Biology from the University of Southampton, an MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment with Distinction from the University of East Anglia, and additional certifications in Biological Recording and Plant Identification.
