Birgid Wichmann

Birgid Wichmann has extensive experience in intellectual property law, currently serving as Chief IP Counsel at LANXESS since January 2005 and as Vice President at VPP e.V. since May 2019. Prior roles include Senior Patent Counsel and Patent Counsel at Bayer from April 1998 to January 2005, and Patent Counsel at Hoechst AG from November 1993 to March 1998, where Birgid Wichmann was also the head of the Patent & Search department at Werk Ruhrchemie. Education includes studies at FernUniversität in Hagen, RWTH Aachen University, and the University of Cologne.
