Peter Wirtz

Peter Wirtz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Peter began their career in 1989 at SELECTA Steuerberatungsgesellschaft MbH, where they worked as a Fachgehilfe in wirtschafts- und steuerberatenden Berufen until 1991. From 1991 to 1995, Peter worked at Kanzlei Görlert, Klosterkamp, Tücking as a Steuerfachgehilfe & Bilanzbuchhalter. Peter then served as a Steuerfachangestellter, Bilanzbuchhalter & Büroleiter at Kanzlei Heering und Große-Schoenepauck from 1995 to 2000. In 2001, Peter joined IKB Immobilien Leasing GmbH as a Bilanzbuchhalter & SAP-Key-User. From 2003 to 2005, they worked at Kamps GmbH as a Referent Konzernrechnungswesen & Systembetreuer SAP, where they were responsible for various tasks related to consolidation, financial reporting, and coordination with auditors. In 2005, Peter joined LANXESS as the Head of Corporate Accounting Solutions, a role they held until 2016. Peter then transitioned to the position of Head of IT Finance Group Reporting at LANXESS.

Peter Wirtz has a diverse education history in the field of accounting and finance. In 1984, they attended the Diplom-Finanzwirt Willi Brodel in Düsseldorf and obtained a degree as a Fachgehilfe in steuer- und wirtschaftsberatenden Berufen. From 1991 to 1993, they studied at the Steuerfachschule Dr. Endriss in Köln and earned a degree as a Geprüfter Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) / Bachelor Professional of Accounting (CCI). Peter further pursued education in the field and completed a Fortbildung zum Steuerberater at the Steuerberaterkammer Düsseldorf from 1996 to 1998. In the year 2000 to 2001, they attended the Siemens Trainingcenter Düsseldorf and received certification as a Zertifizierter Berater Rechnungswesen SAP R/3 FI/CO. Lastly, in 2004, they obtained a CINA: Certificate in International Accounting (o. A.) from FAS AG in Köln.
