Beth Heath

Partner & Head, Clinical & Medical Negligence Team at Lanyon Bowdler

Beth completed her training at Lanyon Bowdler, progressing to associate solicitor and is now one of Lanyon Bowdler’s youngest partners, as well as head of the clinical/medical negligence team.

Beth has represented a number of parents who have suffered stillbirths or in cases of early neonatal deaths. Beth also regularly represents families at Inquests to include Inquests involving potential breaches of Human Rights.

Beth has also represented a number of clients with injuries to the male genitalia.

In May 2017, Beth appeared on both BBC News at Six and BBC News at Ten, having been interviewed by BBC Social Affairs Correspondent and journalist Michal Buchannan, concerning the cluster of baby deaths at Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust. This followed the news that Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt instructed NHS England and NHS Improvement to review the effectiveness of 23 completed, historic investigations of baby deaths or avoidable harm associated with maternity care at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital.
