Joe Yu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and development within the chemical engineering field, currently serving as a Senior Research and Development Engineer at LanzaTech since August 2011. Joe has contributed to catalyst development and gas treatment process design while holding various roles, including Global Service Engineer, where Joe played a pivotal role in launching the world's first steel mill tail-gas to ethanol commercial plants in China. Joe also established and optimized processes for converting ethanol to fuel at the LanzaTech plant in Soperton, GA, and has expertise in gas fermentation and waste carbon recycling. Joe holds a Master of Science in Advanced Chemical Engineering from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University. Joe's earlier experience includes research work at the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica, focusing on nanoparticles for drug delivery applications.
