Laura Cook is an experienced scientist with a strong background in synthetic biology and metabolic engineering, currently working at LanzaTech since November 2020. In previous roles as an Associate Scientist at SPARX THERAPEUTICS and a Graduate Research Assistant at Northwestern University, Laura developed CHO cell lines, performed mRNA isolation, and engineered safe Salmonella strains. Extensive hands-on experience includes cloning techniques, bioreactor operations, and bacterial culture methodologies. Laura holds a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from The Ohio State University, complemented by multiple internships and research assistant positions in various academic and industry settings.
