Tiontae Thornton has a diverse work experience spanning from 2015 to 2023. Starting as a Backroom Team Member at Target in 2015, they then transitioned to being an Assistant Manager at Planet Fitness, where they effectively managed front desk operations and successfully improved the club's ranking in delinquent accounts. In 2017, Tiontae became the Front Desk Manager at the Rochester Athletic Club for Women, overseeing a team of eight and focusing on member satisfaction and sales/profit trends. In 2018, Tiontae took on the role of Operations Manager at Airborne Rochester, where they held HR responsibilities and implemented a new-hire development tracking system. Following that, Tiontae worked at Highland Hospital of Rochester NY as part of the Human Resources team. In 2021, Tiontae served as a Human Resources Generalist at WorkFit Medical, LLC, where they developed and implemented human resources strategies. Tiontae then joined CooperVision as a Human Resources Specialist, and in 2022, they became a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Altvia. Currently, Tiontae works at Laradon as an HR Equitable Process Partner, focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion in talent development.

Tiontae Thornton completed an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Communication and Media Studies from Monroe Community College between 2015 and 2017. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Southern New Hampshire University, which was obtained from 2017 to 2020. Tiontae continued their education at Southern New Hampshire University and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from 2021 to 2023.

In addition to their academic achievements, Tiontae Thornton attained several certifications from LinkedIn, including "HR as a Business Partner" in October 2020, "Strategic Human Resources," "Employee Experience," "Diversity Recruiting," "Communicating with Emotional Intelligence," and "Performance Management: Improving Employee Performance" in April and May 2022. Further certifications obtained were "Developing a Feedback Mindset to Accelerate Your Career" in November 2022, and "Inclusion and Equity for Workers with Disabilities" and "Leading and Motivating People with Different Personalities" in May 2023.
