Marco Bocchio, PhD, has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Université Paris-Sud while pursuing their PhD in Astrophysics. During this time, they conducted extensive research, developed codes, presented their work at conferences, and published multiple papers in top-rated journals.

In 2015, Marco became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institut d'Astrophysique Spatiale, where they contributed to several projects and publications. Marco also collaborated with external researchers and played a key role in the European project DustPedia.

Following this, they joined INAF - Osservatorio Astronomico di Arcetri as a Postdoctoral Researcher in 2015. In 2016, Marco transitioned to Gruppo Unipol as a Data Scientist. Marco worked on multiple Machine Learning projects, analyzing structured and unstructured data, developing algorithms, and utilizing techniques like gradient boosting and deep learning. Marco made significant contributions to tasks such as detecting car crashes, interpreting relational datasets, predicting insurance premium prices, and image feature extraction using TensorFlow and Keras.

In 2018, they joined Klarna as a Data Science Manager, where they took on a leadership role in data science initiatives.

In 2020, Marco joined iGenius as a Lead Machine Learning Researcher, working on cutting-edge research in machine learning. Marco contributed to multiple projects, including lead roles, and leveraged their expertise in machine learning to deliver impactful results.

Most recently, in 2022, Marco was appointed as the Chief Technology Officer at Largo, showcasing their expertise and leadership in technology-related roles.

Marco Bocchio, PhD, received their Bachelor's degree in Physics from Università degli Studi di Genova in 2009. Marco then went on to complete their Master's degree in Theoretical Physics at the same institution in 2010. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Cosmology at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) from 2010 to 2011. Marco's academic journey culminated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI), which they obtained in 2014.
