As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Tools Programmer to join the team and help us in crafting the high caliber games our fans have come to expect.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain all development tools, including our world editor and performance tools
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to implement new engine and editor features
  • Identify and solve problems in our content creation workflows and pipelines
  • Actively participate in finding the best solution for new engine and tools features
  • Design, implement and maintain user interfaces

Requirements

  • Solid experience creating tools for game development
  • Excellent C# and .NET skills for desktop applications
  • Experience working with WPF and XAML
  • Excellent feel for UI/UX and tool design
  • C++ general knowledge
  • Open-minded and willing to iterate on a feature based on feedback
  • The ability to analyze and understand the workflows of other disciplines
  • You seek constructive criticism and are open to discuss issues or requests with end-users
  • You are passionate about improving developer productivity and communicate in a supportive way
  • You are a team player and willing to take ownership of tools
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
  • Please submit examples of your past work

Nice to haves

  • Familiarity with Python
  • Experience with making extensions for Visual Studio Code (Not just using VS Code)
  • Experience making games with Unity, Unreal, Godot (e.g. as hobby project)
  • Experience with digital content creation programs (Maya, Blender, …), using them, writing plug-ins for them or supporting people who use them
  • Experience making tools for Unreal Engine
  • Experience making mods for large games
  • Self-driven and passionate about improving people’s day-to-day and supporting and solving problems for humans
  • Social, easy to communicate with, friendly, empathetic
  • Finds gratification in solving problems for people, not because the problem is “technically cool”
  • UI/UX design experience or working with UI/UX designers
