David Laplante

David Laplante has extensive experience working in business intelligence. David started their career as a Business Intelligence Consultant at Larochelle Groupe Conseil in October 2006 and later became a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant in September 2012. In March 2015, they were promoted to Director - Business Intelligence at the same company.

David has also served as a Business Intelligence Architect at various companies. In 2013, they worked at SOPREMA Canada for a short period of time, followed by a role at PSP Investments, where they were responsible for creating SSAS cubes and developing static reports. David then joined Air Transat in August 2014, where they conceptualized and realized a data warehouse and ETL process.

In 2018, David worked at Autorité des marchés financiers (Québec), where they automated Staging Area's Database and developed SSIS packages. David also played a key role in the business intelligence architecture of derivatives products Datamarts. David worked as a Business Intelligence Architect at Domtar in February 2020 and at Supermax Healthcare Canada Group in April 2020.

Currently, David is working as a Business Intelligence Architect at Larochelle Groupe Conseil for Global Excel Management Inc. Here, they are responsible for setting up modern cloud data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Storage Account, Snowflake, and Data Build Tool (dbt). David supports and guides the development team in implementing these tools and cloud data warehousing architecture.

In addition, David has also worked as a Business Intelligence Architect for The Cooperators, Administration de pilotage des Laurentides / Laurentian Pilotage Authority, and other companies.

David Laplante completed their Technique degree in Informatique de Gestion from Collège Édouard-Montpetit, where they attended from 1996 to 1999. David also achieved multiple certifications from Microsoft, including MCSE: Data Management and Analytics in 2016, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Business Intelligence in 2014, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: SQL Server 2012 in 2014, MCITP: Database Developer 2008 in 2013, MCTS: Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Database Development in 2012, MCITP: Business Intelligence Developer 2008 in 2012, and MCTS: SQL Server 2008, Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance in 2010.
