Grant Matthews has over 20 years of work experience in various technology leadership roles. Grant is currently working as the VP of Corporate IT at Las Vegas Sands Corp. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the company's IT operations. Prior to this, Grant worked at BP for four years, where they held multiple positions including Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Data and Analytics. During their time at BP, they played a key role in developing cloud technology, establishing reference architecture, and leveraging industrial IoT cloud-based solutions. Before BP, Grant worked at Las Vegas Sands Corporation as the VP of Corporate IT and Global Enterprise Architect, where they led the Global Enterprise Architecture team and directed the development and governance of IT strategy and enterprise architecture plans. Grant also served as an Interim CIO for the Singapore operations. Prior to that, Grant worked at Reading Room as the Group Technical Director, where they built the strategy and support structure for the company's enterprise IT services. Grant also gained international experience during their tenure at Zurich Financial Services, where they served as the Enterprise Architecture and IT Strategy Lead for the APAC region. In this role, they worked closely with regional IT teams and Zurich business units to align IT strategies with the overall business strategy. Grant also served as the Head of Business Change and Interim CIO, overseeing end-to-end business change and IT management programs. Before their international assignment at Zurich, Grant worked at HCL as the IT Services Manager, where they directed the outsourcing transition for Royal Skandia. Grant started their career at Allied Distillers Ltd. as a Consultant Analyst Programmer, where they gained experience in software development and data management. Throughout their career, Grant has demonstrated expertise in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, and business change management.
Grant Matthews holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Business Computing from Robert Gordon University. In addition, they have obtained certifications including a Manager's Certificate in IT Services Management (ITIL 2.0) from ISEB in July 2006, and an Effective Manager Certificate from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) in May 2004.
