Max Depiro

Max DePiro is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software and systems engineering. Currently serving as the VP of Software Engineering at Laser Thermal since August 2023, Max held significant positions including Director of Systems Engineering at Cyngn and VP of Engineering at Perrone Robotics, where the focus was on autonomous vehicles for transit and logistics. As Co-Founder of Walle Educational Robotics, Max aimed to facilitate the use of robotics in education through the development of a web application. Max also founded Casper Drones, seeking to innovate drone applications for data collection. Previous experience includes managerial roles at Bihrle Applied Research Inc., involvement in advanced aerospace research at NASA Langley Research Center, and engineering work at Jaco Electronics. Max's educational background features a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
