Rui Felgueiras

Rui Felgueiras is the current Head of Engineering at Laserhub. Before that, they were the Director of Technology at Barkyn from March 2020 to July 2021. Prior to that, they were the Head of Engineering at Farfetch from May 2013 to February 2020, where they were responsible for managing 150+ engineers responsible for the APIs and services which support the entire e-commerce workflow. This included platforms that support farfetch.com, mobile apps, B&W brands, and other partners.

Rui's mains responsibilities have included leadership, coaching and coordination of 6 engineering managers, as well as planning and executing plans to duplicate an engineering team annually. Rui has also been responsible for the creation of induction plans to improve the Farfetch onboarding process, hiring and organising the area to maintain autonomy across teams, and collaboration with Product Management teams to ensure the industry's best standards. In addition, Rui has been responsible for opening new engineering offices in Portugal – Lisbon and Braga – and for the delivery of the whole domain.
