Cristina Lopez

Chief of Strategy & Operations at Last Mile Education Fund

Cristina Lopez (she/her/hers) is devoted to lifting up social innovation, promoting economic equity, and changing inequitable systems. She recently led the startup of the Mayor’s Scholars Program in Baltimore, which surpassed enrollment goals by 34% and kept over 30% more students on a degree path. She also launched the Weiss Institute, a partnership of America’s Promise Alliance and the Say Yes to Education Foundation. She developed and directed the Baltimore Community Foundation’s early childhood strategy that increased kindergarten readiness hubs in Baltimore by 4x. She also served as the Campaign Director for BCF’s $100m campaign and was featured in the Baltimore Business Journal’s "Faces to Watch in 2016". She has advised philanthropists and foundations, assisted nonprofits with scaling strategies, and coached social enterprise leaders. Previously, Cristina held leadership positions in the private sector at Wellington Management Company and eHealth Latin America. She began her career in private equity with the Latin Healthcare Fund and in consulting with Deloitte.

Cristina holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and BA from Brown University.
