Roosevelt Richards

Roosevelt Richards, SHRM-CP, has a diverse range of work experience in the field of human resources. Roosevelt began their career as a Credit Analyst at Access Bank Liberia in 2011 before transitioning to the role of Human Resource & Admin. Officer at Merlin in 2012. At Merlin, they were responsible for recruitment, staff contracts, performance management, and HR systems. Roosevelt then joined Save the Children International as a Human Resources and Administration Coordinator in 2015, where they handled recruitment, staff contracts, and HR record management. Roosevelt then moved on to Concern Worldwide as a Country Human Resources Supervisor, where they focused on recruitment and selection, performance management, and policy formulation. At Oxfam, Roosevelt held multiple roles, including Head of Human Resources & Organizational Development, Roving International HR Business Partner, and Country Human Resources Manager. In these positions, they provided strategic leadership, managed HR operations, implemented organizational development initiatives, and supported HR projects. Roosevelt later joined Relief International as a People Strategy, Performance & Systems Manager, where they worked on HR strategy and systems management. Currently, Roosevelt is the Director of People Operations at Last Mile Health, where they are responsible for implementing HR functions, talent acquisition, learning and development, and employee engagement. Throughout their career, Roosevelt has demonstrated expertise in HR management, change management, recruitment, performance management, and policy development.

Roosevelt Richards, SHRM-CP, holds a Master's degree in Public Sector Administration from Cuttington University Graduate School, which they obtained from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management at African Methodist Episcopal Zion University from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, they have obtained a certification as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in November 2021.
