Michael Hanich is a seasoned sports journalist and newscast producer with experience spanning several prominent organizations. Currently serving as a Newscast Producer for WKRG News 5 since January 2024, Michael also reports breaking news for Saturday Down South, covering SEC football, and contributes to various sports sites, including Saturday Tradition and Saturday Road. With an extensive freelance background since 2015, Michael's expertise encompasses analysis, writing, photography, and social media management across multiple sports, including college football, NFL, NBA, and more. Previous roles include Sports Writer and Editor for Camden News and Gulf Coast Media, as well as contributions to LastWordOnSports.com and 247Sports. Michael holds a Master's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of South Alabama and a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management from Huntingdon College.
