Laura Atkinson-Hope

Laura Atkinson-Hope has extensive work experience in the legal field, with a focus on pro bono work. Laura most recently worked at Latham & Watkins as the Public Service Counsel, Director of Global Pro Bono. Prior to that, they held the positions of Deputy Public Service Counsel and Managing Attorney, Global Pro Bono at the same firm. Before joining Latham & Watkins, Laura worked as a Pro Bono Managing Attorney and Finance Associate & Co-Head of the Pro Bono Asylum Program in New York.

Before entering the legal field, Laura worked as an Asylum Attorney at Sanctuary for Families. Laura also has corporate law experience from their time as a Corporate Associate at Davis Polk and Wardwell, where they represented underwriters and issuers in SEC-registered equity and debt offerings, advised funds in transactional and compliance matters, and provided guidance on corporate financings and restructurings.

Additionally, Laura has experience in academia, having worked as a Lecturer at the University of Cape Town in the Department of Management Studies.
