Katherine Villa

Katherine Villa is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in neuroscience and molecular biology. Currently a Senior Scientist at Latus Bio since June 2022, Katherine previously held the position of Senior Research Scientist at Tevard Biosciences, where contributions included the development of RNA-based AAV gene therapy strategies and mouse model studies of neurological disorders. Katherine's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biology with a focus on Neuroscience from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a dual BS/MS in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University. Katherine's prior roles include research positions at MIT, Merck, and Johns Hopkins University, where work involved advanced imaging techniques and experimental research on synaptic dynamics and neurophysiology.
