Dilanka Mahesh has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as an Engineering Trainee at Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Refinery in 2013. During their training period, they gained knowledge in petroleum engineering and various process units. Dilanka also worked on a simulation project for sulfur recovery from waste gases.

From 2015 to present, Mahesh has been working at LAUGFS Lubricants Ltd. Dilanka has held multiple positions, including Environmental Health Safety Engineer, Engineer Maintenance & Utility Management, Management Representative & Internal Auditor for ISO Standards Implementation, and Senior Engineer in Environmental Health & Safety and Maintenance. In these roles, Mahesh has demonstrated expertise in optimizing operational procedures, enhancing EHS policies, implementing ISO standards, and managing maintenance and utility activities. Dilanka has successfully led projects to improve production efficiency, reduce waste generation, and ensure compliance with EHS regulations.

Throughout their career, Mahesh has collaborated with various departments, supervised teams, and provided guidance on EHS aspects. Dilanka has also been involved in auditing programs and developing EHS-related policies and procedures.

Dilanka Mahesh completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) between 2021 and 2023. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2018, Dilanka pursued a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management (NVQ Level 05) at the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), Sri Lanka. In 2016 to 2017, Dilanka completed Continuing Professional Development - Certification courses in Designing of Fire Detection & Protection Systems from The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL). Dilanka's Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Process Engineering was attained from the University of Moratuwa during the period of 2010 to 2014. Dilanka's education journey began with a G.C.E Advance Level qualification in Physical Sciences from Richmond College, Galle, completed between 2000 and 2008.
